Design tips that keep QR codes scannable

  • Keep a quiet zone (white margin) around the code.
  • High contrast: dark modules on light background.
  • Test at the smallest size it will be printed.
  • Avoid logos covering the three finder squares.
  • Use PNG at 1024+ px for print, SVG for vector output.

Dynamic vs static

A static QR encodes the data directly — it never expires but can't be edited. Keep that in mind before printing thousands.
